THE negotiators to the ongoing Zimbabwe power-sharing talks have agreed on constitutional changes central to a power-sharing deal, according to a report by the BBC.
MDC-T party spokesman, Nelson Chamisa was quoted as saying that other issues remained outstanding before a unity government could be formed.
The changes to the Constitutional Amendment No 19 Bill agreed in South Africa pave the way for opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai to become prime minister - as outlined in a September deal. The leader of the other MDC formation Prof Arthur Mutambara becomes deputy prime minister.
The negotiators say the have not yet agreed on the allocation of cabinet posts - an issue that will be discussed in Harare by the principals.
Chamisa said that the agreement on the draft bill was one of just five outstanding issues.
He said the talks had now ended in South Africa and the delegates would return to Zimbabwe for consultations with their respective party leaders.

Zimbabwe is part of the UN system, Mutsvangwa told journalists at the
Quill Club, Harare 's press club on Friday evening.
Somebody has got to be representing the country and in our case it is the one who is the de facto Head of State who will soon be a de jure Head of
State courtesy of an agreement which the MDC has signed already.
If this is true, then even some ZANU PF heavy weights do not see Mugabe as a legitimate leader of the country.

You have nothing positive to contribute except vile language and baseless accusations. Your posturings indicate ghetto language, ghetto education and ghetto upbringing. This site debates serious issues which are clearly above your understanding.Little education is very dangerous as expoused by yourself. Find some MDC-T sites where people of your low intelligence are usually found engaging in their favourite past time of swapping insults. Good riddance.

MDC thought their stance was hardline and nothing can be done without them but, alas, it seems the region was prepared to move on with or without them. Mbeki's letter said it all! No talks until Mbeki is replaced? Truly? Well, it seems the talks were to go on and a Cabinet was to be formed MT or no MT and the only face-saver was to go to the talks and pronounce to the world that '' there are still some outstanding issues left''! Poor Chamisa! You should have taken the hint that when you speak to your elders you speak with RESPECT if you want to keep them on side, now everything has just blown in your faces and McGee, Dell and Khama cannot do anything about it! You have been neutered and that is a bad thing to have. The big ego is no more! Why not take another trip to go CONSULTING again now that you have been starkly told that the powers you seem to rely on are of no consequence to the region! This is the point the Harvard School of Politics did not teach you because its not in their syllabus. Their syllabus teaches only about how to be good House Nigger and what to do in order to get plaudits from the master! You have lost the chance to be in the driving seat because you consulted far and wide from the region forgetting that charity begins at home. The ''elders'' can not salvage this one for you!
