Perhaps it is the formation of the African Union, plus other factors outside of Africa such as China, Russia, and the cooperation movement taking place in South America being lead by President Chavez?

Zvakona Ng'nga muraphwa achida. Basikiti raTizirai chairo rinoti ukuririkurukwa uku richidananuka.
Mr Tsvangirai, what is it really? First you told us you wanted to have a one-on-one with Mugabe. You were afforded the chance. Secondly you told us you want to meet Mugabe with another Southern African Leader present this happened. You then pushed for a negotiated settlement round table talks and this took place. You asked for the Troika it sat as per your request. You go on demanded for a full SADC heads they have sat. Tsvangirai what is going to happen if the AU's decission does not go your way?
We are wasting our good time on this man. He has already put his signature on all the documents he is disputting today. The same documents have been sent to the AU and UN and other organisations. What is he appealing against then.Already all the African Elders have been called all sorts of names and to think these are the same people he wants be on his side yet they endorsed the SADC to deal with the ZIM issue.

SAY SOMETHING PLEASE!
at the request of our Prime Minister we are now going to be invaded by other Africans storming towards us from behind the branded shields of AU forces. but as you always saying
Africa for the Africans!
Africa for the Africans!
Africa for the Africans is your prayer
so i guess this is cool.
and we have been there before because this is history repeating itself because once more. it doesnt matter that we are going to be invaded from the north by AU warriors on the march - but its not the Dziva and Hungwe coming this time and we are not the San Bushmen going to be running for our lives, so i guess its okay hay?
AU! AU! AU! hay you! hay you! hay you!
we are brothers yeh? cooooooooooool.

Yes, PUSH! He needs some sort of push to think on his own. Tsvangirai does not have any clue as to how he can reverse the sanctions he clamoured for in the beginning. He believes more in the Westerners than in Africans.
He is dangerous. He must be his own man. Sadc should see to it that this issue is resolved or else zanu-PF is being trapped and very soon the gains of independence will be reversed. I can not imagine being under a government of someone who does not believe in blacks

n/a • n/a Subject: Tsvangirai Tue, 02 Dec 2008 14:56:55 • Tsvangirai has failed, failed and failed. This guy has the leadership skills of a dodo. Once again we the suffering Zimbabweans are being subjected to his legendary flip-flops. Right now we are dying, we are starving, our children are not going to school, we have no access to medical facilities/medicines. In Tsvangirai's own warped world he does not see any urgency in resolving this humanitarian crisis but wants more time to refer the Zim issue to AU for mediation.Does this show the actions of a leader who cares about the plight of the people? One is bound to wonder whether Tsvangirai is conniving and colluding in the genocide of Zimbabwean people. His dilly dallying shows an unacceptable level of insensitivity to people's suffering. His own family is ok and stuff you lot is the message that he is portraying to millions of Zimbabeans.
This Tsvangirai is indecisive, uncharismatic, never has a plan B. Does it mean that if ever he becomes a leader in Zim ( God forbid), he will be forever consulting with AU, EU,US and UK before he makes a decision? How did the MDC-T come to select this uneducated, unprincipled and unsavoury character like this as its president? Says a lot about the party. The MDC-T party has failed in Zimbabwe. No amount of corrupting the electorate will save this useless party from extinction. We Zimbabweans are fed up to the teeth with this MDC-T party that is the creation of the West and only set up to play Russian Roullette with our lives. If an election is called in Zimbabwe tomorrow, the MDC-T will not get a single vote.We Zimbabweans are thoroughly piss-- off with Tsvangirai and his party and their puppetry politics. The more he flip flops the more his own credibility/morality as a leader is plummeting in the Zimbabwean electorate's estimation.
The man is now a joke and a huge EMBARRASSMENT to the people of Zimbabwe and Africa. It now time Tsvangirai left the Zimbabwe political arena. He has nothing to show for all his time at the helm of MDC-T except failure after failure. His only success (if you want to call it that) has been to impoverish the lives of millions of Zimbabweans by calling for sanctions from the West that has made our economy scream. Tsvangirai will go down in the annals of history as the political upstart that called for sanctions that led to the deaths of thousands of Zim people and devastated mllions of lives. What a horrible legacy.
He has nothing to offer us Zimbabweans. He called for and supported the sanctions by the West that have infringed on our human rights.By his actions, Tsvangirai has abused us Zimbabweans psychologically, economically and culturally. Tsvangirai has shown without a shadow of doubt that he has not got the interests of the ordinary Zimbabwe at heart. The AU should not waste its time convening any meeting to discuss Zim. Tsvangirai has no intention whatsoever to abide by the ruling of AU either. His intention is to have the Zim issue placed on the UN agenda and then have his ugly m--- placed on the front of Western papers.
He should now bow out and seek asylum in Botswana, UK,US or EU. Tsvangirai is not Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe is not Tsvangirai. Zimbabwe existed before Tsvangirai and it will exist well after Tsvangirai is gone to join his backers. All the guy wants is Power, Power and more Power for himself and opening up Zim for the exploitation of its resources by his backers in the West. As for Wrong again Tsvangirai- the only way the West can help Zimbabwe is by removing their illegal sanctions.
The West has caused the humanitarian crisis in Zim in the first place. They have done this by colluding/conniving with Tsvangirai, MDC-T party, NGOs and Civic groups. There is a psychological warfare going on in Zim right now and we patriotic must be careful not to view our oppressors as our saviours.
HUSTLER • na Subject: AU, EU, UN, THEM AND US. Tue, 02 Dec 2008 14:23:19 • EU, UN,,,,and now the AU because obviously the others are not taking him seriously?
so the rumours about six months ago that MT was going to ask for AU troops is not without foundation? He seriously thinks he can call in the AU elders and safely ask for their hlep without them taking things too far AND making decisions without MT? we are not dealing with wimps here, shamwaris.
Trust me, if you ask the soldier in uniform who lives next door, to come in and sort out your domestic affairs he has a foot into your life and next its your wife and your daughters. trust me. i know these things.
and the AU have their own troops who have their own way of doing things and they would love to loose their killers out to this man and give those camping in Somali/Mogadishu a break.
as MT is now determined to choose this route it obviously means he will loose out on Zim because once those AU troops have a foot in the door, THAT IS IT. it will be another Congo/Rwanda mess.
every state leader north of us would love to own a piece of Zim - especially if they might in the future need to flee out of their own little dictatorship.( i think they have one or two of their own taking refuge in our country already which they would like to get their hands on, as well, dont they? this would be the key of the door for them to do so.
MT is opening a can of worms to put it mildly. sorry, i think a plane load of snakes would be more apt.
do we have a choice now? as to whether we are going to be manipulated and possibly colonised by AU soldiers from the north and held at gunpoint on behalf of their dictators or give him the Home Affairs. if he got that he wouldnt want it anyway. he wants the Presidency. and Idi Amin's old uniform.
Methinks its all part of the EU and USA to strike a match to alight southern Africa so that they can come to the rescue and take over once and for all.
Brown and Bush are tired of being nice and pussy-footing around with ZanuPF and MDC-AM, and MT/AU has fallen right into their hands - and he is going to create an even bigger mess if the price is right! its all about money remember.
Patrick Fletcher • hajray@gmail.com Subject: Tsvangirai calls for AU intervention Tue, 02 Dec 2008 14:22:31 • I do not know what kind of advice the Senegal leader, President Abdoulaye Wade may have given Tsvangirai, but if he had advice Tsvangirai to seek the AU intervention then clearly he does not like Tsvangirai. The AU has never overturn a SADC decision, and I doubt it very much they will do so now, particular when SADC and the AU know that what Tsvangirai seeks is police power to overthrow the elected President of Zimbabwe, President Robert Mugabe, and to establish a dictatorship head ed by himself and supported by the west.
wrong again • n/a Subject: thwsangiuraios Tue, 02 Dec 2008 14:02:35 • wrong again has shown some understanding people who critise tgsawngison are not mugaberites. they are ordinary people like you. they are assessing the facts. mdc t has made several mistakes some of whihc are so bad that one can not forgive the party they trusted with their lives. not so long ago he said if the ca19 is done i will join a government, in the most recent past he is the man who said we have problems in the allocation of one ministry. so we have a person who will change goal posts from time to time. indeed he is attracting the attention of the west, but it wrong timing. these guys are busy with the credit crunch, usa in particular are busy chnaging the government to obama lead team. they are so busy, to attend to zims problems. mdct is not aware that botwsana's stance of war is not good at all, the west will not support them. obana believe in dialogue he is not going to war with anyone. meanwhile while you thing about the west, what are your roles as a leader. au is made of the same leaders who told you off, perhaps you don't know how it works. south africa might have more voting rights than anyother country in the AU, but you want them to step down. stop engaging you mouth before your brains do your own studies first. recently biti, was embarassed big time.

if the Prime Minister is unable to negotiate with the SADC-elders and he now needs the AU-elders to talk to his opponents in government, how is he going to manage the 15 ministries he has been given?
it appears that this man has no strength of character or intellect actually - and is unable to do the job some voted him in for. Ian Smith is another one who had no strength of character and had to resort to napalm and bullets instead of sitting down and talking like a man.
you see now why you should have voted either for MDC-AM or Simba Makoni.
this man's inadequacies are obvious by his continued efforts in running to everyone else to sort out his mind for him.
i despair.

N/a • N/A Subject: WRONG AGAIN, TSVANGIRAI Tue, 02 Dec 2008 06:11:01 • Once again Tsvangirai is wrong in calling for the AU to intervene in Zimbabwe's internal affairs. African Union has never made any decision which has helped in many of Africa's hotspots. Just think about Somalia, which the world has now forgotten, think of Rwanda, Dafur, Congo to mention but a few. If the AU were an effective problem solving instituion, they could have at least attempted to deal with those issues. Zimbabwe is a far cry when you compare its problems with those on the African continent which I have just mentioned. Tsvangirai needs to speak to ordinary Zimbabweans, including chiefs and headmen to find the way forward. The international world does not help anymore. They will only further divide us as Zimbabweans. The more we ask outside to arbitrate in our country, the more divided we become. African Political Organisations are a useless lot. All the Treaties and Conventions which they have come up with are mainly concerned with recognising the Sovereignty of Member States to avoid friction and disputes. When African Leaders gather for a conference, it merely an event where they can look important and squander large sums of money while Africa remains poor and dieseased. What can you expect from Oma Bongo (41 years in power), Yoweri Museveni, Muhamar Ghadaffi, Hosni Mubarack, Dos Santos and many others who have been and are still clinging to power THROUGH DEMOCRATIC MEANS? Do you think they will care about the rights of a child from Muzarabani? When Tsvangirai talks about the AU intervening I really dont understand him. He has grown tired and his brain is not functioning properly. All he needs is the actions of the EU, Australi, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. These are the only Countries which can help Zimbabweans. Never mind those who claim that the West can never help Zimbabwe, because those that say so are incapacitated. They fail to see the truth mainly because they are blinded by their support of ZANU PF. Remember, these ZANOIDS in power have immediate relatives who are sitting pretty and are willing to defend Mugabe until he becomes indefensible. Then they will turn against him and say that they had been against his politics of patronage for LONG LONG TIME. These are the same people who would try and convince us that it is better to listen to South Africa rather than USA. What kind of lunacy is that? If South Africa, in particular Thabo Mbeki & Co intended to assist our country how come they have not manage to help our slide towards death while they are watching? Have they impossed sanctions on us too? They are as useless as to be a NULLITY when it comes to Zimbabwe's problems. All what they do is to impossed stricter visa rules to deny ordinary people access to their country. If we fail to solve our own problems it is better not to waste time seeking the help of fellow useless Africans, whose only proven record is FAILURE TO ACHIEVE ANYTHING.
