Venezuela sending aid to Zimbabwe

VENEZUELA is sending food, water and medicine to Zimbabwe to help combat the cholera epidemic that has claimed more than 1,500 lives, according to official UN statistics..

That country's Justice Minister Tarek El Aissami says Venezuela is sending a group of rescue workers with an initial 74 tons (67 metric tons) of humanitarian aid Friday night.

The minister told reporters that the initial help is modest but more aid will be disbursed once the rescue workers have given a report back to the country.

He said Venezuela wants to take action.

President Hugo Chavez has urged the international community to assist Zimbabwe.

Last month, Chavez expressed full support for President Robert Mugabe. He warned other countries not to use the health crisis to "politically destabilize" Zimbabwe's government.

hats off to venezuela for coming to the rescue of Zimbabwe, it will not be surprisig to hear some Zimbabweans who will not be happy with this kind of assistance to the country that is suffering because of problems that has been brought by the politicians. Let Venezuela help those who need help not to interefere with their operations and attack them for the humanitarian assistance.

Most appreciated! Thank you Venezuela leadership and citizens. It's one evil to help someone with ulterior motives and yet another to openly hurt someone through sanctions and still hope to pull the carpet under the feet of the very people you are hurting.

Muchas gracias to the good HUMANS of Venezuela and to their enlightened President Chavez.

Real HUMANS & FRIENDS of Africans do not sanction Africans.

Only the historically racist European ENEMIES of Africans impose crippling sanctions on Africans after they have criminally invaded and plundered Africans into poverty.

Long live Zim Patriots to resist the racist enemies of Africans, and to finally stand on the neck of the anti-African enemies from Europe!

May the lives of Africa's enemies be very very very short
.
And may the relentless and racist enemies of Africans die the horrible deaths that befit such cruel creatures and beastly beings!

Thanks again to all the FRIENDS of Africans who remember Africans in their hour of need. In time, in a short time, your rewards will be bountiful.

And now you will hear some MDC-T fools denouncing Venezuela for assisting as if its Robert Mugabe who has cholera.
