KENYA's opposition leader Raila Odinga says African Union peacekeepers must help restore calm to his country torn by five weeks of post-election violence.
He says police and soldiers are to blame for the bloodshed that's gaining frightening momentum.
Talks between government and opposition, brokered by former UN Chief Kofi Annan, are due to resume in Kenya today.
Annan says it will take two weeks to bring an end to violence that’s claimed nearly 1000 lives and driven 300 000 people from their homes.
Deadly tribal clashes claimed scores more lives at the weekend.
Much of the brutality is directed at members of Odinga’s tribe, long resented for dominating politics.

Raila Odinga and his gang of mass murderers bears FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the outbreak of the Kenyan slaughter.
The POWER GLUTTON, Raila Odinga, is guilty of commission of mass murder in Kenya.
And Raila Odinga is guilty on the basis of omission: Raila Odinga failed to call off his cold blooded mass murderers at the outset.
For that diabolical action/failure to act, that devil Raila Odinga BEARS FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the Kenyan slaugther.
And not that lying mass murderer, Raila Odinga, seeks to cast blame elsewhere.
The Kenyan security forces are lapse in not going to get Raila Odinga and confine him.
It is one thing to be cheated (alleged) in a childish election; but it is demonic to order killing of Africans; or sit idly by and not call off the mass murderers of the opposition.
Raila Odinga should be captured and disappeared into confinement!
And if the lost leaders of the Mentally Deluded by Colonialists (MDC) should pull such stunt in Zimbabwe, there should be NO hesitation to go get them and put them out of business for good.
