SOUTH AFRICA: DA calls on South Africa to resist Zuma's ascendancy

Mon, 01 Sep 2008 09:57:00 +0000

HELEN ZILLE, the leader of the Democratic Alliance and Mayor of Cape Town, has called on South Africans to resist the 'political blackmail' from organisations that support the advance of ANC president Jacob Zuma to the Presidency, says a Mail & Guardian Online report.

And she has an unlikely ally in Business Unity SA leader Brian Molefe.

Writing in her online newsletter, SA Today, Zille condemned those who are calling for a political solution that would let Zuma off the hook in order to preserve stability in the country, saying this argument is bogus.

“Firstly, a political deal would threaten constitutional democracy in SA by circumventing the rule of law and the principle of equality before the law.

“Secondly, a political solution would smash the founding compact of our democracy by elevating the narrow interests of the ANC's ruling clique over the sanctity of the Constitution.

“Thirdly, a political compromise would delegitimise two key institutions of democracy: the judiciary and the NPA. A political rather than a legal settlement would make it extremely difficult for the NPA to prosecute politically sensitive cases in future.

“Finally, without actually hearing the merits of the fraud and corruption case against Zuma, and without having seen the charges against him tested in a court of law, we will be denied the opportunity to assess - on the basis of a court - his probity and suitability for public office.”

• What South Africans should be 'resisting' is the continued presence of these racist colonialist CRIMINALS in Africa!

What South Africans should be resisting is the continued hold on African Lands, Wealth, Resources & Opportunities by colonialists CRIMINALS!

If Africans want to elect Zuma as their leader that is African business.
If the racist colonialists criminals don't like choices Africans make with respect to their leadership and governance, then that should be another CLEAR signal for the racist thieves to return to Europe while they still can!

• Black South Africans still have a very very very long way to go before they realise that they have been had!!! Fourteen painful years after hoodwinking Blacks into thinking & believing that they are now in'charge' Whites (English, Boers - not 'Afrikaners', David Bullard's descendants) still own/control about 80% of all fertile land, 99.99% of SA mainstream media, banks, mines, industry, commerce, real estate, u name it!!! The sad thing u hear the likes Zwelinzima Vavi pretending to care more about us Zimbos than his own fellwo countrymen & women!!
Mbeki has begun the fight to regain control of the SA's means of prouction. Unfortunately the white controlled media has been trying very hard to rag him down & ridicule him in the process.
The same white media keeps on heaping praises on Mandela & that little coconut of an Archbishop - Tutu. They are naming everything after Mandela & they gave aos made sure that Mandela's cook, barber, tailor, maid, secretary/PA are all WHITE. Very sad, really sad.

• zuma muchishona zvinoreva kuti chii?nelson mandela is just getting old and should just leave politics and enjoy his retirement.he said ,the zimbabwean problem is being caused by lack of leadership, yet in his country, people like ZUMA are nominated to be SA leaders.Zuma,a rapist who claimes that he washes after having sex to avoid catching AIDS is said to be a better leader than mugabe.what did mandela do to reverse the legacy of colonialism, poverty is rife within the black majority, blacks are still uneducated,i dont know what they are doing to resettle the afrikan and give back the farming knowledge that he has lost so completely.in south africa ,you still find hardline NAZI racists functioning ,still hating and still advocating separation.
