HERE are some events scheduled for the coming week in Zimbabwe.

Celebrate International Women's Day

 

When: Saturday 8 March 2008

Where: Book Cafe - Above the OK - Fife Avenue Shops - Cnr 6th St / Fife Ave

 

- From 2pm: Sistaz Open Mic - Come sistaz, express yourselves as women with talent through Song, Dance, Poetry, and Drama . . . This is your space – Come do your thang!

 

- From 8pm: Celebrations continue through the night – featuring leading and emerging female artists of Zimbabwe, honouring and celebrating the struggles, triumphs, achievements and works of women in the arts industry.  Presented by the FLAME project, supported by HIVOS.

 

Zimbabwe Poets for Human Rights

 

When: Tuesday 11 March 2008 - 3-5pm

Where: US Embassy Public Affairs Section Auditorium, 7th Floor Gold Bridge, Eastgate, Harare

 

Zimbabwe Poets for Human Rights will commemorate International Women's Day through exciting poetry recitals and discussion on women's rights. Come share a wonderful afternoon with word smiths!

 

Annual General Meeting

 

Environment Africa members and interested parties are invited to Environment Africa’s 2008 Annual General Meeting.
