New DJ joins the TZ Radio gospel team

Thu, 18 Sep 2008 02:31:00 +0000

LIKE Isaac Hayes’s classic album, he was called Black Moses. Now he is called Redeemed Moses after making an amazing transformation. When I met him over two decades ago, he was a young man who wanted to party, but he now wants to party in the comforts of the Kingdom of God. Redeemed Moses joins the TZ Radio team on Sundays for a gospel show.

Listening to a pilot show he did, you can tell the amazing transformation the man has gone through, but his love of music had to be channeled elsewhere.

Redeemed Moses possesses the first essential component of any jock – he loves the art and displays character in what he does. RM has his own flare and he showcases originality and style.

As a Christian DJ, I think it is imperative to showcase a Godly attitude – and Redeemed Moses does that with ease. Yes, his skills are up to par, but at the same time, Christ is exalted.

An equally important component of RM’s selection of songs is the lyrical content. All the songs he plays have contagious choruses. He keeps the crowd excited and the lyrics correspond with the message that is being promoted.

In my mind he becomes an instant Mr Solid Gold, and with Rumbie Moyo and Terry Jay dishing out gospel tunes every Sunday, TZ Radio has claimed a position that no other Zimbabwean online radio station has claimed before. The team becomes instant vintage.

Check out the new lineup unveiled on Thursday for the new broadcast times by visiting TZ Radio at http://www.tzradio.co.uk
