Tue, 25 Mar 2008 13:14:50 • thanks to all the above for writing. i am in the diaspora and i feel it is not necessary to attack each other on the net. we are all doing something positive to keep the country going in one way or the other. we send money home to save our relatives from staving.they are still in zim like you guys who are in zi and they are going to vote for change. do you honestly believe that only voting makes the difference. i dont think so. i think all have got a role to play. u can vote and then the vote is rigged what do u do next. at least you my relative have got me ho can be able to work for u and feed and look after u so that u can fight the regime while u are there. am i not fighting the regime by supporting family? chiza chekuti ndisu takaenda kuhondo saka ndisu ti nodya nyika rutivi vamwe vachisuffer ndichochiri mamuri. chero bato renyu ramunofarira rikawhina handifungi kuti isu vari ku diaspora munotigamuchira kumusha nekuti ndimi munenge masunungura nyika.

Zim is your only home and you should be ashamed that you're wasting your efforts in afar lands trying to get visas renewed instead of wasting that energy on campaigning and voting for change for the sake of your children and children's children!

Simba Makoni has been bold in coming out and changing Zanu and president Mugabe in fact sacrificing much even putting his life at stake for a possible better future for you and your children just as much as morgan tsangirai has done in the past years. So rather than giving such negative comments from afar off in Ireland why not take the plane to Zim and and be a part of the change in Zim...

So many people are discussing Makoni from the comfort of their foreign homes.

Wamurikuda kuti avhote for a change that will benefit everyone including yourselves ikoko ndiani?

Yes,Tsvangirai and Makoni will lose because there are no people to vote for them in the country. A leader can campaign and sing about change but if the people who share his views prefer to stay out of the country and not vote,then don't blame him if he loses.

Even without rigging, President Mugabe can still win. He could still win even when Makoni launched his project and attracted a lot of interest because Makoni's support was on the websites. His electorate wants him to win but won't come home and vote.

Who, among all diasporans can can say with all honesty that they have tried to come home to vote but failed?Some are as near as South Africa but still,they wont come home to vote.They want change, but who will champion that change for you if you choose to be a distant referee in the game?
