DEAR EDITOR—I commend the Movement for Democratic Change leader Morgan Tsvangirai for finally deciding to come home and contest the runoff election, something which he should have done some weeks ago.
Nevertheless, I think we should now all be mature and gear ourselves for the runoff election and put the feelings of hatred aside.
Zimbabwean people have proved to be a resilient bunch that can transcend any challenges and can make their own choice without being intimidated or brutalised.
I think it is important to realise that whatever outcome the runoff election will bring will have to be respected for the sake of the populace who have suffered enough anxiety waiting for the election results and because of the tense situation in the country.
Whoever wins the election should realise that they will have to work with the other side given that the people of Zimbabwe are split between the two parties; despite arguments to the contrary by certain sections of the population.
Results released by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) should always be respected and if political parties are asked to provide figures should be do so expeditiously, and forget about the politicking.

the pipol who voted against all be it a rebellion vote thats what it is zimbabwe want change.
the fuss about the whole election results and the status quo should tell you something. we dont have a government , either do we have a parliament why? we wait for bright matongo's opinion.zimbabwe does not need a liberation movement to go forward it is desparate for change.we have pipol hogging on to power when cleraly they know masses want them out.now my belief is that if you preside over rubbish you walk away , as the buck ends with you .it could be the tea boy or gardern boy's fault but you were in charge , the same applies to these guys in zpf, we can move on with them in opposition and the country will be beta for it
