PEOPLE, do you not get tired when politicians use big memorized words that are hollow when asked about serious issues? I get fed up of the sometimes immature debates politicians in Zimbabwe—from both main political parties—engage in which do not benefit the people at the end.
I think politicians, both Zanu PF and MDC have become so selfish and forgotten that they are there to lead on behalf of the people, and not to better themselves.
I am very frustrated by the fact that a war of words seems to be taking place right now between Zanu PF and the MDC and that war is won by none, but lost by all Zimbabwean people.
I urge Zimbabwean politicians to be more mature and responsible and know that the wishes of the Zimbabwean people should come first before their egotistical considerations. Some of us would like to contribute to the development of our nation, but how can we do it when politicians keep bickering?
Lastly, I am mad at Morgan Tsvangirai always changing his mind at the last minute. The Memorandum of Understanding that was drafted by the three parties – Zanu PF and the two MDCs – was said to have been concluded, only for Tsvangirai to refuse signing it at the last minute saying Jean Ping, or whoever, had asked him not to sign it. Who is Jean Ping? He is not even a voter in Zimbabwe. We are tired of Tsvangirai's threats. If he is so concerned, why does he not just get involved in the talks himself and not send representatives?
And Nelson Chamisa, please translate this statement, you made in response to the allegation that Jean Ping had told Tsvangirai not to sign the MoU, into plain English for us: “That is speculation and wild imaginations meant to fertilize discomfort and uncertainty among Zimbabweans.” Please learn to answer questions, not respond with these emotion filled, devoid of substance, answers. It is this empty rhetoric that makes the MDC spokesman sound immature.
And why is it that the Mutambara MDC never seems to dispute or support the issues that Tsvangirai is concerned about? Do they still support his presidency after that very caustic document by Mutambara?

THE signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the ruling Zanu PF party and the opposition Movement for Democratic Change party did not take place yesterday as expected putting the much anticipated political settlement in Zimbabwe in jeopardy.
Reports coming out of Harare say the MDC leader, Morgan Tsvangirai changed his mind at the last minute despite reassurances from his party’s negotiation team which had agreed on the content of the document together with the Zanu PF team.
Tsvangirai is said to have advised his team that he would not be signing the MoU under instruction from Jean Ping, African Union Commission Chairman.
